Auburn Amtrak Station Layout Map
The stop has a single side platform, served by a siding off Union Pacific’s Track 2, which keeps movements simple and means there is no concourse to cross. The present platform and shelter were built around 2002, with footed metal posts, a hipped green metal roof and a short central lantern that echoes the original Southern Pacific station style. Central Pacific opened the first Auburn stop on 13 May 1865, about a mile and a half east of downtown; Amtrak introduced Thruway motorcoach connections in 1997, the Capitols arrived on 26 January 1998, and service moved to the Nevada Street site that spring. In March 2008 the stop was renamed the Robert F. Conheim Auburn Train Station.
